The noble 'Earth' has bestowed human beings with incredible and beautiful nature in the form of mountains, rivers, forests and various natural resources that helped us survive and initiated our evolution. So, now it's our time to save our planet from the challenges threatening the existence of the earth.

Among our many "Go Green" initiatives, the recent one is to install & commission a Solar Power Generation Unit at Ambala with 954 solar panels spreading across 50 acres of land, producing 9 MW of power.

Solar energy is the largest renewable energy resource and will account for more than 60% of power supply in future. This project will always offer MT Group a broad scope to contribute towards preserving the environment, which is our top priority.

Recognizing how important social responsibility is to their customers, MT Group practices several broad categories of CSR — one being the arrangement of blood donation camps, a major boon in times of crisis in our community.

Since 2013 we have arranged blood donation camps at our various plants, specially in Himachal Pradesh & Maharashtra, involving our own employees as well as locals from nearby areas. This journey has benefited our associates many times when immediate availability of blood was required.

Our CSR activities are mainly focused on the all-round development of communities around our plants, located mostly in distant semi-rural areas where basic health is an area of concern. We arrange basic health check-up camps — standard blood, dental, eye, and orthopedic check-ups for ladies & elderly members.

In many cases these check-ups become a great boon for those approaching a critical health condition, and for those already undergoing such conditions. We shall continue to arrange such programs for the overall development of surrounding communities.

Alongside these, MT Group arranges TT Vaccination camps at our various plants, involving not only our own employees but also the locals from nearby villages & towns who indirectly facilitate our business.

We are thankful to local administrative authorities who have recognized our initiatives and supported us to arrange such programs each year — reducing our footprint on society while caring for the community as a whole.

India's growth relies on a well-educated and skilled workforce. Providing education, healthcare and infrastructure to underprivileged children can lay the foundation that overturns the lives, careers and productivity of millions of citizens.

However, despite studying at reputed institutes, many students miss good employment opportunities as they are unaware of the actual challenges and expectations of the industry.

MT's CSR team has analyzed this gap and taken initiatives to provide free-of-cost training and counseling to final-year industrial students & graduates, preparing them with adequate awareness & skill to meet industry expectations.

When we plant trees, we don't just make our community nicer — we directly reduce our carbon footprint. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, and planted thoughtfully they also help us save energy and generate even less carbon.

MT Group continuously works to reduce carbon footprints inside all our plants and in nearby areas, and conducts an Ambient Air Test every year to measure CO₂ levels. In the last nine years we have planted a total of 565 trees across all our plants and surroundings.

On every auspicious occasion, or when a senior customer visits, we celebrate by having a tree planted. MT Group shall continue to plant trees to save our planet.
